Freida Pinto – Vogue India (March 2009)

Slumdog Millionaire Girl Freida Pinto graces the cover of popular magazine Vogue’s Indian Edition for the month of March 2009. As per recent news she has signed on by Hollywood filmmaker Woody Allen,

The magazine which hits stands today, features exclusive interviews about life before the Oscars, bonding with Oprah Winfrey, Leonardo DiCaprio and her future plans. Slumdog Millionaire’s Latika caught the attention of New York’s hip fashion commentators, the Fug Girls; she even topped’s 10 Best Dressed List in February — beating Renee Zellweger and Wendi Murdoch. At the Vogue shoot, when a reporter asked stylist Tiina Laakkonen why Pinto isn’t being dressed exclusively in Indian fashion, Pinto grabed a pencil and scribbled her answer on a scrap of paper, ‘Because she’s international now!’ It would be better if she poses with close lips for the cover.

  1. Since \”Vogue India\” is already launch here in India…. Do you think there is a change for \”Teen Vogue India\” to be launch in India as well? I\’ll be so excited waiting for it.

  2. T-Vogue is only in the US so far and my dad gets me copies or I get them when we go there in the summer but since I’ve shifted to India, I’ve noticed that there is no T-Vogue here!

  3. A lot of upscale bookstores, such as Borders and Barnes & Noble carry international issues of Vogue magazine, but after all of the times I’ve been to these types of bookstores, I’ve never come across an issue of Vogue India.
